My first encounter with yoga occurred in the eastern world as I glimpsed into a sacred shala deep in the heart of Rishikesh, a beautiful city nestled in the foothills of the Great Himalayas in India. Marlon began her teaching career with Bikram Choudhury, yoga guru and founder of Bikram Yoga, also known as Hot Yoga in 1987. While working with Bikram, she also studied for five years with internationally recognized yoga and emotional healing pioneer, Ana Forrest.

I started doing yoga in college, but it wasn’t until I found Bikram yoga in early 2003, that I began to truly practice. In 2007 I went to teacher training, never thinking I would teach, but instead to continue my own journey to find SELF.
